Terms & Conditions

These terms form an agreement between you and Zap Solutionz (“we”, “us”) covering your use of the CrypKey mobile application, this website and the interactive demo hosted on it (together, the “Service”).

By requesting a licence, installing the app or using the demo, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use one copy of CrypKey on each device for which you hold a valid licence key. The software is licensed to you, not sold.

• CrypKey is currently provided free of charge. There is no licence fee and no subscription. We may introduce paid plans in future, but we will not start charging for a licence you already hold without telling you first and giving you the choice to stop using the Service.
• A licence key is tied to the device it was activated on and may not be shared, resold or transferred without our written agreement.
• To issue a licence we need the details described in our Privacy Policy. Providing accurate details is a condition of the licence.
• While your device has an internet connection the app periodically confirms with our server that your licence remains valid. If it is offline, the app continues to work.

We may revoke a licence where it has been shared or duplicated in breach of these terms, where it was obtained using false information, or where the Service is being used unlawfully.

If your licence is revoked, the app will stop granting access to its features. You may submit a reinstatement request through the app explaining the circumstances, and we will consider it in good faith. Revocation does not delete the vault stored on your device, but you should assume you will need a backup to move your data elsewhere.

Because your data lives only on your device, several things are yours to manage:

• Remember your PIN. We cannot reset, recover or bypass it. There is no back door and no master key.
• Take backups. Use the backup feature regularly and keep the exported file somewhere safe. It is the only way to recover your data.
• Protect your device. Keep it updated and locked. The vault relies on your device's own protections.
• Protect your backups. Backup files are unencrypted so that they remain portable and readable. Anyone who obtains one can read its contents.

The same is true if you lose, reset or replace your device, uninstall the app, or delete the app's data. Without a backup, that data is gone permanently. You accept this as an inherent consequence of a vault that never leaves your device.

You agree not to:

• use the Service to store or transmit anything unlawful, or credentials you are not entitled to hold;
• reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it;
• circumvent, disable or tamper with the licensing, authentication or security mechanisms;
• redistribute, rent, lease, sublicense or offer the Service as a hosted service to others; or
• use the Service in a way that damages or interferes with our systems.

The demo on this website is provided for evaluation only. It is pre-loaded with fictional sample data — none of it represents real accounts or credentials — and it stores everything in your browser rather than on a device vault.

Do not enter real passwords or other genuine credentials into the demo. It offers none of the protections of the app: there is no PIN, no biometric lock and no secure store, and its contents can be read by anything with access to your browser profile.

The Service, including its software, design, CrypKey name, logo and all related materials, belongs to Zap Solutionz and is protected by intellectual property law. These terms grant you no rights in them beyond the licence described in section 2. The contents of your vault remain entirely yours; we claim no rights over them.

The app is distributed through, and runs on, platforms operated by others — including the app stores you install it from and your device's operating system. Their terms apply to your use of those platforms, and we are not responsible for them.

The Service is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet every security requirement you may have. Nothing in this section limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot lawfully be excluded.

CrypKey is supplied free of charge. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, nor for loss of data, loss of profit, loss of business, or loss arising from unauthorised access to your device or your backup files.

Because no fee is charged for the Service, and to the fullest extent the law allows, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service — whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise — is limited to [nominal cap, e.g. ₹1,000].

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. If you are a consumer, you keep all rights given to you by consumer protection law, and nothing here affects them.

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your use of the Service in breach of these terms or in breach of applicable law.

You may end this agreement at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or end it if you materially breach these terms. On termination your licence ends and you must stop using the Service; sections covering intellectual property, disclaimers, liability and governing law survive.

We may update the Service and these terms from time to time — to add features, to fix problems, or to reflect legal or technical change. We will revise the “last updated” date above, and where a change materially affects your rights we will make reasonable efforts to notify you. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of [governing jurisdiction, e.g. India], and the courts of [city and state] have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, save that we may seek injunctive relief in any competent court.
